Following on from our recent Restricted Funds update we want to demonstrate some of the analysis features that have just been released in OPAS. This guide follows on from the first part which can be viewed here.
When posting transactions you can allocate a fund to that payment or receipt whether via the normal bank input screen or recurring entry screen. Any transactions posted with a fund can be reported on separately within the reports section.
If you need a report simply showing cumulative totals of all restricted funds compared against any unrestricted...

Once you have generated this report you should see that all "Restricted Funds" are now separated from "Unrestricted Funds" with a "Total" column representing the total of both columns. As usual any figures on this report can be drilled down to see the individual transaction that make up these columns.
If you could like to compare all restricted funds side by side on one report together with the unrestricted element then do the following:

On this reporrt you will see individual Restricted Funds side by side which means you can keep track of income v's expenditure on any fund that you set up.
Don't forget that any of these reports can be generated anytime you wish and not only does this provide you with up to date figures anytime also means you can re-generate previous years reports just as easily.
In part 3 we will demonstrate how to generate a copy of the trial balance by Restricted Fund so that you can always check the cumulative balance of each fund when spanning more than one year.
