Claiming gift aid on sponsorship donations

We have today released a new update for dealing with sponsored donations within the parish.

Flag the one-off/GAD as "Sponsorship"

When entering a new GAD within the parish you will have noticed there is a flag called "Sponsorship"

If the donation relates to a sponsored donation then tick this box and this will flag all donations received within the GAD as sponsored.

How to claim for sponsored donation

The only requirement that HMRC demands is that sponsored donations must be claimed on their own separate R68 claim form. 

• You should be logged in as an administrator.
• Click on "Claim Gift Aid" tab and the link called, "View Sponsorship Claims"

• Enter the tax year that you wish to claim gift aid and click on "Update Date"
• If needed, click on "Preview r68" to generate the preview claim form.
• If you wish to generate the actual R68 and make the claim, click on the "Claim Gift Aid" button.
