Q:  How do I back up data that I have already entered?

You do not need to worry about backing up any data. As soon as the data is posted to the system, we will automatically start backing up the data on a daily basis. This means the data will always be correct, free from corruption and you never need to worry about losing data!

Q:  Is it safe and secure?

The information that passes between your computer and our servers are protected by sophisticated layers of security to ensure data is not compromised. We use a combination of SSL security (indicated by a "lock" icon at the bottom of most internet browsers) for the web browser plus technology to protect unlawful entry by attempted hackers.

Q:  Do I need to install software?

No you don't. All you need is access to a computer and an internet connection to login to the service. Furthermore, you will benefit instantly from any upgrades that occur from time to time meaning that your accounts will always be up to date and based upon the correct legislation and tax rates.

Q:  How do I receive updates to the software?

All updates are automatically installed on your system without any input from you. This means that we can update all systems overnight (when you are not using it) and the next time you login you will be granted access to the new update. We will always notify you of any changes that will impact your working processes however.

Q:  How do I receive updates to the software?

As our systems are not installed onto your computer then the specifications of your PC are less important. However, there are a certain elements that your PC should have installed to ensure the system runs smoothly.

  • Browser: The recommended browsers are Internet Explorer (IE) 7 and Mozilla Firefox 1.5.
  • Broadband: The recommended internet connection is broadband to get the best possible user experience.
  • Javascript: If you have one of the above browsers then you must ensure Javascript is activated before you can login.
  • Cookies: If you have one of the above browsers then you must ensure cookies are enabled before you can login.
  • Screen Resolution: To make sure all contents of the page are displayed correctly the recommended resolution should be set to 1024 x 768.

Q:  How do I change my Username or Password?

Firstly you will need to login and navigate to Parish Settings. On the second layer of navigational tabs is a function called User Set up. After clicking on here, click on your access name and update your settings.

Q:  How do I navigate around the system?

Navigating from one page to another is simply a matter of clicking on the link you wish to go to. However, you must ensure that you have saved all outstanding changes on that page otherwise you run the risk of losing the information. In some situations, we will warn you that you have tried navigating away if there are transactions waiting to be posted.

Q:  How do I come out of the system?

You will need to press the "Sign Out" button on the page (the exact position will be dependent on the version of the software you are using). Once clicked on, you will be signed out. It is important to "sign out" rather than just click on "close" on the internet browser.

Q:  I cannot login as it's telling me that the account is locked?

This may happen if you have failed to enter your username or password correctly. After the third attempt you will be automatically locked out and will need to contact your support team to become "unlocked".

Q:  Can I open multiple tabs on Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla?

Yes you can and will help with navigating around the system more efficiently. Simply right click on the page you wish to open and then select either "open page in a new tab" or "open page in a new window". You can then use multiple tabs to browse the software.

Q:  I have a MAC and use Safari, does it work?

Although we advise that Internet Explorer version 6 upwards and Mozilla version 2 upwards are the platforms that we would recommend and the system has been fully tested upon. There are other internet browsers that we do know work fine on our software. If you do have difficult in using our software on your chosen internet browser please get in touch and we can try and find the problem.
