You may be experiencing problems when printing out some reports and and more specifically letters from OPAS or Gift Aid.  Such problems may include:

  • Headers and Footers have printed out including the web address and/or additional page number references, or
  • Images or background colours are not printing correctly, or not at all.
  • Alternate pages are blank when in print preview mode or printing.

These problems relate to IE7 or IE8 on your PC and you will need to manually update the settings to rectify and issues that you may have.

How to change your settings to ensure correct printing...

  1. In IE7 or IE8, click on File (you may need to press "Alt" on the keyboard to show the menu) then "Page Setup".

When printing (or in print preview) there are blank pages.

Ensure under Paper Options and Page Size that A4 is selected.

Images or background colours are not printing.

Select the option Print Background colours and images.

Headers and footers are being displayed such as the web address.

Under Headers and Footers ensure all drop down menus show -Empty-.

Label Printing Problems?

If you find that your labels are not lining up on your paper correctly then it maybe you need to change one or two settings on your printer settings.  The settings can be changed when you click on print on the report.

  • Ensure under the section "Page Scaling" that this is set to None

  • Secondly, under Printer Properties ensure that the paper size is set to A4.
