Creating User Templates (Admin Level Only)

When you create new users for new or current Parishes, you need to assign them access rights to either allow or restrict usage to certain pages or tasks.

Although you can create individual access rights per user, it's much better to create a user access template and then allocate the user to it.  This helps by standardising the access for certain tasks and users and means that any changes that are made are updated automatically with the user the next time they login.

Access levels can be created on most pages and can range from "No Access", "View Only" through to full "Delete, Add & Modify" access.  Typical templates that can be created are:

  • OPAS Standard User
  • OPAS View Only
  • GA Standard User
  • GA View Only

Create a New Template

  1. Login as usual and navigate to Users tab on the 2nd layer of tabs.
  2. In the new navigation menu, click on User Templates.
  3. A current list of all currently set up templates are shown for information.

  5. If you wish want to create a new template (rather than edit a currently set up one), click on Add a new Template.
  6. Using the matrix, with each row representing an area of the system; click on the preferred access level for the chosen template.
